Joshua Wood Orchestra - Surrender

The feeling of isolation is an all too familiar one in the midst of the pandemic. The latest single from Joshua Wood Orchestra, Surrender, captures that bitter sweet nostalgia so many of us are hanging onto today.

It’s a song about longing, about being wary of the road ahead. The west coast troubadour captures what it means to be afraid of where you’re headed but aware of the inevitability of it all. When you give yourself to that inevitability is when you can finally progress and work through the obstacles.

The video, directed by Kaio Kathriner, is a commentary on our shared isolation and how we must make do to satiate the craving for human connection.

Surrender was recorded by renowned producer Felix Fung at Little Red Sounds.
