Spring Forward- A Night of Classical, Jazz and Pop Music on April 29 at the Shadbolt Centre

The talented Alina Raskin is presenting a performance that will showcase powerful music at the revered Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. This concert will celebrate the beginning of spring and takes place on April 29, 2023. This special evening will celebrate the talent from Alina Raskin, Victoria Raskin and Armen Martirosyan. Each artist brings unique qualities, experience and stories to the stage. This event is intended to inspire and resonate with a music loving audience in a beautiful theatre. Armenians have a tragic history of genocide and as a result they lost their land and homes. This country has faced diverse challenges but generates spectacular music that deserves to be heard.

More about Alina Raskin- Alina is a tremendously gifted artist with diverse musical knowledge and skills. The accomplished musician derives from Armenia and now resides in Vancouver, Canada. Alina's grasp on her craft is built on her extensive experience of studying music intensively throughout her life.

More about Victoria Raskin- Victoria is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist. Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, to Armenian-European-Israeli parents, and in a time of war and uncertainty, she moved with her family to Canada at a young age to pursue a better life and immerse herself into the arts. She grew up heavily influenced by music, dance, and the performing arts, as well as literature.

More about Armen Martirosyan- Armen is an accomplished composer and songwriter with vast experience in writing instrumental music in a wide range of genres: academic, jazz, fusion, ethnic, rock and pop, as well as award-winning songs for a variety of performers around the world. Renowned band-leader with over 20 years experience of conducting performances and recordings of jazz ensembles with international touring experience.
